First off they have excellent customer service. I was there for lunch and got wings and a pizza. The pizza dough taste divine great job on that. The quality of the food was excellent and the wings were right on time very spicy like I prefer.  Also they had a coupon on yelp when you check in which I was able to use. They are going to be moving soon so if you want the atmosphere of this original location you better hurry and come see them. I highly recommend this place and it is a must if you stay in Stockton.

Mehh .. this place is highly overrated . I went there with my husband for the first time today expecting for the wings to be as fire as the reviews claimed to be . I'm a foodie , so my expectations on food are extremely high , especially food thats being presented as great and a return place .

Overall , the restaurant itself is pretty spacious and the ambiance is not bad . We came shortly after they opened today so I was really hoping the food would be fresh and hot . To my disappointment as well as my husbands it wasn't . I think people overrate this place because maybe it was either on tv or whatever the case may be or their taste palates vary from mines ... but the food was trash .

The wings tasted like party pack wings that you can find at any store . They were super hard and didn't have any seasoning to them as well . I love chicken so I know when I'm tasting great juicy chicken . The chicken tasted as if they just threw it in the fryer and it was still frozen . The woman who works the front who I know for a fact is the owner she has the worst attitude . It was hard for her to keep it under wraps but you can definitely tell that she had one . I try to be as supportive as I can to other black owned businesses but I'm sure I won't be back here . I tried to compliment her about being a successful black owned business seems as if she didn't take it well . I also inquired about where their new location would be and she told me that I'm not from Stockton so I wouldn't know . But I can follow them on instagram .. which I wont .

All in all , the chicken was an absolute disappointment . I was really hoping from all the great reviews that it would be fantastic . If you're going to sell wings please don't use party pack Walmart chicken wings .

I love supporting local mom/pop shops whenever I can because I've found most of the time the food is better.  My experience at Smitty's May have been one off for the day.
The atmosphere is cool, but the food wasn't that great.  The reviews are amazing for this place, but I found my smoked wings are much better tasting.  The skin on the wings were too crunchy and the fries tasted as though they had been cooked in old rancid oil.  I'd like to go back and try them again as maybe it was an off day and try their pizza.  The wedge was one of the better salads I've had at a restaurant. The owners are nice people.

The wings were good..... the pizza for the price was good but not very tasteful, but this was my first time. I'll come back again for another opinion.

So, I'm a big fan of Guy Fieri, in sort of an ironic-but-not way where I think he's over the top in the best way possible and low key wish he was my dad. So today, I decided I'd hit up Stockton and visit a spot he's featured on Triple D. Because I'm already looking for cool, fun places with great food, and also, GUY FIERI. Stockton has a couple places that have been visited on Triple D, but after a little research, I discovered Smitty's Wings and Things has, BY FAR, the best reviews of the choices. And for good reason. With over 400 reviews and a cumulative 4.5 stars, I knew I would be in for a good treat, and Smitty's absolutely delivered.

I grew up in Stockton, so it would fun for me to revisit the area of town I frequented growing up, spending many weekend nights at the Blackwater Cafe, catching one of my favorite local bands or even playing a gig of my own (I forgot my old band played there in 2010). Any excuse to come out and support local business in Stockton is good for me, and I'm glad that Smitty's is in Yosemite keeping the block alive. Great to see the Blackwater still cranking out coffee, too!

Onto Smitty's, though. It was hard to get a read of it from the outside. I couldn't see through the windows and the building itself is a little unassuming, especially if you don't know what you're looking for. Located on the corner of Yosemite and Acacia, it's easy to miss if you turn right into Yosemite. Once I was inside, though, I was pleasantly surprised. Smitty's has a cute mom and pop feel, with Halloween decorations a plenty, a spacious bar, and enough seating that they could pack the house without feeling TOO cozy.

I perused the menu and knew I needed to get wings. The "& things" looked good, too, and Smitty's offers sandwiches, a burger, and pizzas, but obviously I was here for the main event, and decided on an order of wings. I grabbed a 9 pack of wings and split them between Mango Habanero and "Damn Hot" sauces. They had a pretty nice selection of sauces, but I'm a bit of a masochist and the hotter the better! The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted ranch or blue cheese, and carrots and celery, and I sat down at the bar.

The wings came out piping hot, which meant they were cooked to order - always a plus! I let them cook off and snapped some pics. They were maybe still on the hotter side when I dug in, but again, masochist. A little burnt mouth never killed anyone.

The mango habanero was heavy on the mango and sweeter than I would have expected, which I was into. I'm a big fan of the spicy/sweet combo and they delivered on all fronts there. The "Damn Hot" probably could've been a little more damn hot, but I've also participated in spicy food eating challenges, and I realize that level of spiciness is not exactly marketable to the masses outside the novelty world of professional eating.

I took my time, got a little messy, and enjoyed every bite. I wanted more, but everything in moderation, right? Smitty's made some excellent, hearty wings, delivered friendly and professional service, and gained another great review to add onto their 400-something current reviews. I'm glad this was the spot I decided on, and next time I'm in the area, I'll be bringing my buddies that still live in Stockton with me.
